Introduction to The Lifestyle Accountant

Welcome to my blog! I've been contemplating starting a blog for awhile now but I just couldn't get to the point to where I could pull the trigger until now. I wanted a way to document my journey on becoming The Lifestyle Accountant and start "journaling". I have a nagging voice in my head that I'm constantly hearing telling myself that I can do more, and that I can do better.

One of my big inspirations for starting a blog is Sean Ogle at Location180. I've been reading his blog back in 2010 when I was contemplating quitting my job and traveling to Thailand because he had done it and seem to be a great idea at the time. I've never took his advice that you should start a blog...until now.  Although my own family and circle of friends are great, I need to step outside my comfort zone and connect with other like minded people. I want to join the online community and communicate with people who have been through what I've been through and people I can learn from.

I plan on writing about the following:

  • What it's like to be a CPA
  • My journey towards becoming an entreprenuer
  • Financial independence
  • Never wanting to "retire"
  • Traveling
  • Self improvement
  • Personal Finance
  • Anything interesting I find that I want to talk about

So maybe you're wondering by now "what does this guy have to say then?". Well, if you've read my About Me page, then you will gain some insight on why I started this blog. But if you want the cliff notes version, here's what happened:

  • I'm working towards becoming an entreprenuer
  • I'm going to make travel a priority
  • I'm pursuing a life that I'm designing, not what those around me expect

With this blog I hope I can connect with others, share ideas, and pursue a life less ordinary.
